Spool Effect, April 18 – Live Music

April 18, 5-8pm | Spool Effect is made up of three musicians, Kevin Dye vocals and guitar, Luke Zohn on bass guitar, and Tyler Pearson drums and percussion. Formed in far north Idaho by friends with a love for diversity in musical styles and the openness of improvisational music. Having a back round in the jam scenes in their former states prior to moving up north all three have cut their teeth as session players, touring acts, worship players, and signed musicians it was a given to join forces in a studio out in the woods and start writing music that expressed the independent mentality of natural Idaho as well as the creative facets of past experiences. The music is deeply rooted in the mindset that being able to dance, to move, even if it’s just nodding your head to the beat is paramount. It expands on the theory that no matter how old or young, or what musical style you prefer there is something in the music to grab your attention. We use reggae, rock, funk, jazz, blues and some good ole fashioned experimental sounds to make up our core but in the end, we just want the listener to have fun for an evening, as we sure do playing for people.
